She opened Polished in 2017 with a bold vision, expanded to a second location the following year, and by year three brought Polished to Buffalo, NY—proving her passion and business acumen reach far beyond one city. Today, Polished proudly operates out of its flagship location at 545 Titus Ave, Rochester, NY 14617, a two-floor space featuring 9 rental stations and 3 private suites, designed for beauty professionals to thrive.

 

Aurea is a licensed cosmetologist, certified in classic and volume lash extensions and lash lamination, and has built Polished into much more than a salon. Now in its 9th year, Polished is a true community hub—hosting annual fashion shows with celebrity and local community hosts, organizing food drives for the homeless, and creating opportunities that uplift both stylists and clients alike.

 

Beyond beauty services, Aurea is deeply committed to education and empowerment. She teaches Business 101 classes for aspiring entrepreneurs, new business owners, and established brands looking to expand, grow, or solve operational challenges. Her hands-on approach helps people understand the basics, identify gaps, and build sustainable success.
